The Best Mascara
This is my first post in long long time! Unfortunately I just ran out of time with two toddlers to look after plus working as well. I still love to cook and hopefully I will be back soon with some more recipes.
So what else have I been doing?? As you may know I’m bit of a beauty addict and makeup junkie. I was an Avon Lady for a long time until I discovered Younique last year. It’s a Mineral makeup and skincare direct sales company and the products are amazing!! I fell in love with them and haven’t looked back.
Their best selling product is the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. It comes with two wands – a transplanting gel and the nylon fibers. Just look at my lashes in the top picture!! If you want long lashes without having to put falsies on then this is it! I absolutely love it! Here is a short ‘how to’ video so you can see for yourself the difference this amazing mascara can make to even the smallest of lashes.

I’ve been a bit busy this week so thought I would do a quick product review for Beauty Tip Tuesday this week.
I decided on my favourite primer, Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre Foundation Primer. I’ve been using this primer for years now and I really love it. It’s a blend of Vitamin E, Chamomile and Yarrow extract. It keeps your skin hydrated and provides a base for your foundation helping it to stay put during the day. It feels beautiful on your skin and can even be worn without foundation.
I’ve waived from this primer a few times over the years and tried other brands but I always come back to Napoleon Perdis. It is a bit pricey at $59.00 AUD but worth every penny. And I must say I love the gorgeous gold packaging too.
As Napoleon Perdis says, ‘It’s a Crime not to Prime!’

Happy New Year!! Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. I haven’t posted for a few weeks as I was busy getting ready for Christmas. It was our first year hosting Christmas lunch so I didn’t have much time for blogging I’m afraid.
I’m back on track now and looking forward to a great year. I have a lot planned for the blog but thought I would start off the year with my top beauty picks from 2014.
1. Avon Mega Effects Mascara and Eyeliner Pen
Being an Avon rep I just had to try these. The mascara was hard to get used to at first because of the different wand and the wet feel to it but I love it now. The eyeliner pen I love too. It’s great for creating a winged effect.
2. Avon Metallic Effects Nail Enamel
Again had to try this one and loved it. The colours are beautiful and you can get away with one coat if you like.
3. The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I haven’t brought anything from The Body Shop for a long time but when I was invited to a Body Shop a Party I thought I would try this cleanser/make up remover. I usually use cleansing wipes but they haven’t been very kind to my red Rosacea prone face of late so I gave this a try and was pleasantly surprised. I use a damp make up pad and dip it in the tin and wipe all over my face. Go easy on the eyes of course but it takes your make up off really well and it has been good for my skin type. I don’t think it would last long though if you used it everyday but I do really love it.
4. Napoleon Perdis, The One Concealer
I love all of Napoleon’s products but discovered The One, Concealer earlier in the year. It’s an all rounder concealer and has been great for my red cheeks.
5. Nail Art
This isn’t an actual product but deserves a mention. I discovered Nail Art last year and fell in love with it. I have always taken care of my nails and always had quite a collection of nail polishes but never did much with them. In 2014 I discovered nail art tools and stickers, glittered nails and even more beautiful nail polishes to add to my collection. Looking forward to experimenting with my nails this year and trying some new beauty products in 2015.
Would love to know your favourite products from 2014. Leave me a message in the comments.
